At Malaga Airport, some of our suppliers offer a full/full (collect full/return full) fuel policy. If you are going to use a full tank of fuel, a full/empty (collect full/return empty) policy may be the cheapest solution as the rental price is generally lower. Malaga City

Often overlooked by visitors, the city of Malaga has remained a typically Spanish city, and is an ideal weekend break destination. The city has a spectacular castle and fortress, a vibrant old town, sandy beaches (walkable from the centre of Malaga in around 10-15 minutes), and a lively nightlife (particularly from Thursday to Saturday in the old town district).

Costa del Sol

The Costa del Sol region of Spain is the coastal region of Andalucia which stretches from Nerja in the east to Gibraltar in the west.

The resorts of Fuengirola and Torremolinos are typical Spanish holiday resorts offering bars, beaches and busy nightlife activity at cheap prices. For a quieter holiday, Nerja to the east and Mijas with its pretty whitewashed houses offer more tranquility. Alhambra Palace

If you haven't visited the Costa del Sol before, we have compiled a quick guide of interesting places to visit in the Costa del Sol, including the Alhambra Palace, Picasso Museum in Malaga and the famous Caves of Nerja.

For ideas of things to do such as theme parks, water parks, golf, markets and shopping see our guide to Costa del Sol tourist attractions and things to do.

There are plenty of low cost flights available to Malaga, and the city makes an ideal weekend break, especially from late September to March when the climate is cooler.

If you need somewhere to stay close to Malaga Airport we can recommend Holiday Inn Express (see Trip Advisor reviews) which is around a 2 minute drive to Malaga Airport. For a budget hotel in the town centre Holiday Don Curro offers affordable rooms in a central location close to the shops and the old town.
